Overview

Damen Jackson is looking for an Assistant Project Manager who seeks to flourish in a fast-growing branding, marketing and design agency.  Reporting to the DJ Account Managers, this role has daily interaction with the design team, current clients and prospective clients. Success in this role is defined when the Assistant Project Manager becomes a trusted and dependable resource to internal team members and clients.  The Assistant Project Manager will be contributing to our company’s growth by nurturing long-term client relationships through elevated client service standards. Basically, this role is responsible for keeping the trains running on time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist current DJ account managers with performing their tasks and duties

  • Learn DJ’s client services and develop an understanding of the processes used to produce them

  • Ensure proper internal set up and execution of client needs

  • Proactively communicate with customers to ensure DJ Team fully understands expectations related to deliverables and delivery dates.

  • Maintain a detailed and updated project pipeline schedule

  • Preparation for and participation in daily stand-up production meetings

  • Maintain project documentation to include, but not be limited to: project quotes, approvals, orders, scope work changes, sample approvals, emails, etc.

  • Learn and become proficient in FunctionPoint, our internal project management software

  • Use FunctionPoint as a communication and project management tool, including expanding on its utilization within the agency through additional, currently unused functionality

  • Be a positive representative of DJ in interacting with customers and potential clients

  • Other administrative duties as assigned

What DJ is Looking For:

  • Client services experience, 3+ years

  • Effective management of project plans, timelines, and schedules with meticulous organizational skills

  • Work-flow management between cross-functional (strategic, creative and design) teams managing to changing daily requirements

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills leveraging knowledge of services, processes, tools, technology and collaboration with leaders and team members

  • Vendor contact and negotiations

Preferred:

  • Experience with project management software (FunctionPoint, SmartSheets, GANTT Charts)

  • Design or creative agency background

  • Experience in project management

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or communications or relevant field
